![]() I only found out because I was recently trying to troubleshoot this issue myself, found that the filter was missing, and then a Spectrum technician told me that they are instructed to remove all MoCa filters. The technician removed my personally installed PoE MoCa filter without telling me. ![]() I had an outage in November and they sent a technician. I found this thread on Google, tried adding a second MoCa filter right before the modem (like you did), and now everything works perfectly. I just wanted to share that I had the same problem with Spectrum and it started at around the same time (January). With all setups I was getting full 500 Mbps as supposed. Then after powering down / up modem and I suddenly saw blue Online light (DOCSIS 3.1). Still white light that is kind of expected with filters and if Spectrum really uses DOCSIS 3.1.Ĭable PoE -> MoCA filter -> goCoax WF803M -> MoCA filter -> Modem -> Router -> (back to goCoax WF803M) Today after reading all articles I could fine :) I went to setup like that. Modem was showing DOCSIS 3.0 after pressing reset button on modem**.** I was reading about MoCA and DOCSIS 3.1 interference and tried to leave just high-band on WF803M. I noticed that Online light on Hitron EN2251 modem is white that means DOCSIS 3.0. To see if it somehow maybe related to MoCa adapter interference.Ĭable PoE -> goCoax WF803M -> Modem -> Router -> (back to goCoax WF803M) While waiting for terminator caps I was playing with setup trying to isolate problem. Or issue still with Spectrum? Just not sure how to force them to make it work with splitter since I don't have cable box and they obviously don't support MoCa at home. Could somebody suggest good splitter that works with Spectrum and goCoax 2.5? I can try to buy another splitter and see if it help. I'm not sure what is going on because it is strange that two splitters went bad at the same time. Once he left I tries spare splitter and could not get internet at all. According to him signal is good and splitter was cause of the problem. Once he removed it internet was back to normal. He immediately pointed to splitter and asked who installed RadioShack quality splitter. Spectrum could not figure out anything and sent technician. One minute it was at full 400 Mbps and then next minute 0.5 Mbps (amazingly Zoom still work at that speed). Then suddenly this week internet connection started acting up. I was successfully using goCoax 2.5 for more than a year with 2-way splitter and filter. Maybe somebody can point me in right direction. u/RoweDent created this awesome resource on network theory u/tht1kidd_ has created a suggestion post regarding information everyone needs to provide when asking a question about their network There have been some excellent guides written in this sub, and we're always looking for more!
